Dr. Manu Vora

Dr. Manu Vora is Chairman and President of Business Excellence, Inc. a global quality management consulting service firm. He has over 37 years of leadership experience and has guided Fortune 500 companies with Baldrige Performance Excellence assessment in the areas of leadership development, customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and continuous process improvement.  As an Adjunct Professor, he taught “Operations Management” courses at Stuart School of Business at Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, and College of Business at Northern Illinois University. He teaches “Quality Assurance Project Management” at the School of Continuing Studies at Northwestern University since 2008. He is a Past Vice President of ASQ, Past Chair of ASQ Chicago section, ASQ Fellow, and Certified Quality Engineer. Manu has B.S., M.S. & Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and an MBA with Marketing Management. He is a sought after speaker on business excellence topics with over 315 presentations around the world and published over 40 articles in professional journals and conference symposia.  He has published a chapter on “Managing Human Capital” in the book Six Sigma for Transactions and Serviceby McGraw-Hill in 2005. Dr. Vora served as a Chief Judge at the Illinois Team Excellence Award Program from 1993-1999. He is serving as a Judge for the International Asia Pacific Global Performance Excellence Award Program since 2004. Among the awards honoring Dr. Vora are: ASQ Distinguished Service Medal, ASQ Hutchens Medal, ASQ Grant Medal, ASQ Lancaster Medal, Testimonial Awards.  Sunday, May 5, at ASQ’s World Conference on Quality and Improvement, Dr. Manu will receive the 2013 American Society for Quality (ASQ) Spencer Hutchens, Jr. Medal for Social Responsibility.  His Medal citation reads: “For his commitment to social responsibility in founding, funding, and leading the Blind Foundation for India to serve over 15 million blind people in India.”
