Scott MacIntire currently serves as the director of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Chicago District Office. The office is responsible for conducting investigations on over 6,000 registered firms and annually screening 500,000 import shipments in the state of Illinois. Firms include food, medical devices, imports, drug firms, biologic firms, and veterinary medicine. He recently supervised a large portion of the 2012 Office of Regulatory Affairs reorganization while serving as the Acting Director of the Office of Regional Operations, and has served many years as the chair of the Center for Veterinary Medicine field committee. Mr. MacIntire has worked for FDA for 22 years, and previously worked for the Virginia Department of Health and the Virginia Department of Agriculture. He graduated from East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health in 1982.
