April 17, 2014 Pre-Meeting Clinic: Developments in the Automotive Industry

The automotive industry is evolving the driving experience with a variety of systems.  A number of vehicles already have a back-up cameras, collision detection, and data transmitting systems on-board.  These systems will continue to evolve in the direction of autonomous driving and on-board cloud services.  These systems will exert more control over the vehicle and enable a flood of data to and from the vehicle.  If the automotive industry does not manage the quality of these embedded systems, this could result in more in regulation by the government.

Join Martin Palszynski and Freda Behm as they introduce the topic for the evening’s Main Presentation with a look to the future of automobiles that appeals to everyone!  This Software Team will have interesting insights to share on how technology designed to simplify our lives can sometimes introduce complexity for the manufacturer.
