Taylor Mae Stinchcomb Scholarship, by Orville Krumdick

Bill Stinchcomb, past Section Chair and long-term active member of Northeastern Illinois Section 1212 lost his daughter Taylor Mae June 21, 2011.   She would have been a senior at Warren Township High School in June 2014.

Taylor’s parents, William and Lee Ann Stinchcomb established the Taylor Mae Stinchcomb Foundation to provides benefits to teens needing financial support for mission trips, pet rescue and animal wellness programs, girl’s softball, and families in need.

In 2014 Taylor’s foundation expanded to include a college scholarship to a high school senior whose endeavors promote quality of life.

The scholarship is awarded to a student who:

  • Models a positive life attitude of honoring friends ahead of personal desires;
  • Volunteers in helping raise awareness and funds to support family needs in the community,  and
  • Actively supports pet rescue / animal wellness programs

The Warren Township High School helped develop the scholarship by reviewing applications and selecting the recipient who met the criteria. At the WTHS Honors Night program on May 12, Bill and Lee Ann presented the scholarship to Anna Thomas. The Section offered our congratulations to Anna and her parents  who attended our May Section meeting.

Congratulations to Anna Thomas

recipient of the

Taylor Mae Stinchcomb scholarship.
