Eventbrite - ASQ Section 1212 February 2016 Meeting

Please Join us for our annual FDA meeting, this year with Ricki Chase, Acting Director for the FDA’s Chicago District Office.  This year’s presentation will focus on how industry can successfully partner with the FDA to achieve its goals.  In this discussion, Ms. Chase will discuss the current initiatives at the FDA,  and how these initiatives can combine with industry initiatives to improve public health.  As an added bonus, we will also receive an update on Chicago District operations.

This February meeting has historically been ASQ Section 1212’s largest draw, and it is certain to be a large event this year as well.  As we are well-attended (especially in FDA-regulated circles) this is an excellent networking event for those working in this industry sector.  But for non-regulated folks, there is value in quality benchmarking from the regulated industry, as well as something to learn about your government.  Everyone is welcome!

Ricki Chase is currently the Director of Investigations for the FDA’s Chicago District Office. She manages a staff of supervisors, investigators, and technicians and who are responsible for inspecting regulated industry, and conducting specialized investigations, and performing sample collections and import operations. She previously served as a Supervisory Investigator at FDA’s Denver District Office, where she specialized in medical devices, dietary supplements, and Center for Veterinary Medicine programs. Prior to management, Ms. Chase was the Denver District’s medical device specialist. Ms. Chase has worked for municipal, state and federal agencies and has 23 years of experience in public health protection. She has received Agency awards for her contributions to seizure and injunctive actions as well as recognition for leveraging and collaboration. Ms. Chase received her B.S. and M.S. degrees in Biology from the University of Texas at Arlington.
