February has many Quality themes to work with! February is American Heart Month, reminding us, with Valentine’s tidings, that our health is an important part to maintaining quality performance.
February also is the month of Presidents Day, reminding us of the Founding Fathers that made this nation the cornerstone of ingenuity and industry that fuels industry and the Quality profession!
February it is the beginning of the Chinese Year of the Monkey (my sign) and a New Year signals New Beginnings. If you need to start a new Quality project at your workplace, just remember that it is never too late!
Most importantly, in Section 1212, February is the month of our annual meeting hosting the FDA at the Arboretum Club in Buffalo Grove. This is traditionally our largest draw meeting and we look forward to seeing all of you gathered to learn more about the FDA’s quality expectations for the year.
I would also like to thank everyone for the positive response I received for a replacement Programs Chair, now that I’ve assumed the duties of Chair. Please welcome Mahendran (Mahen) Ravichandran, who is now serving as our new Programs Chair! Feel free to approach him with any of your speaking ideas for next year’s speaking roster.
